Services
1. Ecological Restoration
It’s not only about reforesting a barren landscape and repairing damage but largely about rebuilding resilience for the future. As ecosystems regain their health, they are less prone to flooding, erosion and provide vital services like clean air and water, carbon sequestration, and wildlife habitat.
Wildsight uses a well planned out and informed systematic approach to restoring native plant communities.
- Full Restoration planning & advising
- Planting/plant sourcing
- Full Eco-Restoration package
2. PRedator Management
Invasive predators pose a significant threat to indigenous flora and fauna across New Zealand. With an array of tools to remove them, controlling these predators is an achievable goal. Wildsight runs you through your options and can build you a robust strategy plan to rid yourself of the pesky buggers.
If your current trap/bait line is not doing the job of controlling them, Wildsight can assess it and replace/restore a more successful line. Controlling predators is an indispensable practice to protect forest health and achieving restoration. They go hand in hand.

4. Site/Vitality Assessments
This is the measuring and scoring of the health and state of existing land/bush/forest to inform future restoration efforts. It includes a biodiversity report. The Assessments (based on Helmut Janssens templates) reveal threats to native ecological services that will affect the vitality of the assessed site. Scoring the site's functional elements, helps assess it's strenght and weaknessess, and informes management plans to restore it's resilience.
- Comprehensive Bush Vitality Reports
- Assess environmental threats and features of the land/bush/forest
- Biodiversity monitoring
3. Research/ Monitoring
I have lead and designed multiple successful research projects and trials, and I am keen to contribute more to the field of science, to inform our understanding of conservation.
- Scientific Methodology and research design,
- Trial set up/Data collection
- Data analysis and report writing
